I LOVE how this turned out ... it's so soothing & peaceful.
Here's the recipe:
1. For the top bird, I stamped the bird in versamark than in the dark blue ink
2. For the bottom bird (it's a second generation stamp) - I just stamped again below the first bird without reinking (but I did 'huff' on the stamp before stamping)
3. cover both images with clear embossing powder and heat emboss
4. use a versamark pen (NOT an embossing pen or it will make your image blue) and color the white spots and spots that did not get protected by the first clear embossing step of both birds then cover with clear embossing powder and emboss again.
5. cut a circle for the moon from a post it note for a mask and also tear a post it note to use for a mask to divide the water/sky (Michelle Zindorf has many tutorials on doing this type of background) ... see my gallery for her sponging ideas and links to her tutorials
6. After I masked the moon and the water line, I sponged the lightest color on for the sky (Marina mist)
7. After the sky is done, remove both masks. Move the moon mask down to the water part and sponge the darker color for the water
8. Remove the moon mask in the water and lightly mask the moon to make it look like a reflection in the water
9. use liquid glass to make a few waves in the water

OH my gosh this is gorgeous. I almost want to buy the stamp just to make this card. Your reflection is incredible. I am so glad you explained how you did the card!
